Judges announce finalists for the GLOBE Community Awards

GLOBE is proud to announce the finalists for the GLOBE Community Awards with less than three weeks until we announce winners at the October 17 gala event at Myer Mural Hall.

Community groups, politicians, journalists and even an AFL footballer have made the list of 31 finalists across the ten categories. Special thanks to hard-working judges Farrah Tomazin and Emma Page Campbell, along with review judge The Hon Michael Kirby, who have devoted their time over the past weeks to narrowing down our nominees.

GLOBE President David Micallef is elated with the list of finalists: “Seeing the calibre of the finalists is just amazing. We couldn’t have asked for a better list of candidates for our inaugural Community Awards,” says David.

“To see our community standing up to be recognized, along with community groups, businesses, politicians, journalists and even an AFL footballer, it is a great feeling. It just shows how amazing our community is and I’m glad we are here to help recognise them,” adds David.
