Greig Friday

greig 1Greig Friday started volunteering work with the Victorian AIDS Council in 2007 shortly after completing the Young & Gay workshop – eager to contribute back to the community that welcomed him. His passion to reduce stigma and discrimination led to him being a positive influence to other young gay men and a much loved part of the VAC team.

Greig and his mother, Carol Friday, sadly lost their lives in the Germanwings Flight 9525 tragedy in March 2015.


Jason Ngam, Melbourne Queer Film Festival

Jason is the Melbourne Queer Film Festival’s longest serving volunteer liaison, his extensive experience and knowledge making him an invaluable asset to the MQFF team. He is admired by all those he leads for his approachability and willingness to share knowledge, skills and experience.

Alan Drummond, Midsumma

2015 is Alan’s 10th year as a volunteer for the Midsumma Festival, volunteering 2 days a week year round and 7 days a week during the festival period giving over 1,200 hours of service to the festival. Alan works tirelessly to make sure all aspects of the community have an opportunity to connect with the festival.

Natalia Dewayani

NataliaNatalia has worked tirelessly to connect the LGBTI community in general and has founded and managed several organisations including the Melbourne Lesbian Social Fun Club, Soul Sisters and Hugs for Change.
