Finalist: Andrew Parker from Optus

Andrew Parker is a business leader, whose current role as Employee Experience Manager at Optus has seen him champion the company’s diversity policy nationwide. Andrew has  ensured that Optus’ GLBTI community has a platform in the culture of Optus and has been instrumental in not only shining a light on diversity in the workplace – but making it happen.

The Laird Hotel – Brett Lasham & Mark Carney: As a business, the Laird Hotel is one of the stable supports of Melbourne’s LGBTI community. As a gay venue for over three decades, the venue has most notably been a home to Melbourne’s leather and bear communities as well as a longstanding supporter of various clubs, organisations and groups within our gender and sexually diverse community.

workingoutWorkingOUT is a specialist employment service delivered by SensWide Employment for lesbian, gay, bisexual, trans*, intersex and queer identified people facing barriers to accessing employment. Beginning as a pilot in 2011, it is now the only Commonwealth funded Disability Employment provider catering to the LGBTIQ community.
