The Healthy Community award at the GLOBE Community Awards celebrates organisations who work hard to protect the physical and mental health of those who identify as gay, lesbian, bisexual and transgender in Victoria.

Meet the finalists for the 2016 Healthy Community Award:

Equinox Gender Diverse Health Centre offer the trans and gender diverse community general medical care, mental health checks, a pre-exposure prophylaxis (PrEP) clinic, support for trans people living with HIV, and sex work checkups.

Royal Children’s Hospital Gender Service aims to improve the physical and mental wellbeing outcomes of children and adolescents who experience gender dysphoria.

GLBTIQ Sports Festival, Team Melbourne the Sports Festival is the single largest annual event of its kind in Australia. GLBTIQ sport and recreation in Melbourne and aims to do three things; to get more of the GLBTIQ community involved in sport, promote the important health benefits to sport participation, and to build a stronger connection across Victoria’s GLBTIQ sporting and recreation groups.

Queerspace, Drummond Street Services is a mental health and wellbeing focused service for LGBTIQ communities, you can access information, check out our research, and get help and support in a safe, supportive and non-judgmental space.
