The Healthy Community category recognises the innovative projects that work to positively support and impact the mental and physical heath of LGBTQI community.
Here are the finalists for the 2017 GLOBE Community Awards:
PrEPaccessNow – a community driven program working with individuals toward HIV prevention. Focusing on providing access to at-risk communities, while offering education to the LGBTQI community and beyond.
Re-Wired Program, VAC – a therapeutic support organisation focused on the well-being of recovering users of methamphetamine in the MSM community. Their care program centers on issues such as relapse prevention, health and nutrition, sex, mindfulness, and more.
queerspace – an intra-community mental health project geared to the LGBTQI community, that offers affordable support for all genders regardless of age. Since being established in 2013, queerspace has focused on a range of issues, including homelessness, bullying, family violence, and more as it pertains to LGBTQI people.
